John Halstead's Story
May 19, 2022
What began as bad indigestion one evening continued to get worse and worse for Pine Mountain’s John Halstead. A young man in his early 40s, Halstead didn’t suspect that he was having a heart attack, but as the pain worsened, his family cautiously called an ambulance. He arrived at St. Francis-Emory Healthcare and was rushed to the Cath Lab for a heart procedure to address the issue, but his condition quickly became life-threatening. A team of highly skilled cardiologists and heart professionals rushed in to save his life. He says he feels lucky to be alive and thanks the “angels” at St. Francis-Emory for their quick actions and expertise.
