St. Francis-Emory Healthcare Announces Launch of Modern Halo

St. Francis-Emory Healthcare is proud to announce the debut of Modern Halo, a state-of-the-art wellness center located on north Veteran's Parkway.
"Over the last few years, we've heard increasing demand for services like medical weight loss, hormone testing and treatment, and pain-relief-focused therapies." said William Bohl, Executive Director of Physician Services at St Francis-Emory Healthcare. "While we have offered some in a limited capacity, many — including neurotoxin-based TMJ and migraine treatments, joint pain injections, or medically supported weight loss — were not available from St Francis at all."
Patient demand quickly transformed into provider feedback, floating upward to system leadership.
"These treatments require medical oversight and provider expertise to deliver safely and effectively, and patients know that — its why they asked their doctors in the first place." he continued. "Our clinicians were turning to us, concerned about what to recommend. We had a big gap in our service offering that left patients out on their own."
Planning for Modern Halo began in earnest last May. The practice opened in December, providing a full range of evidence-based treatments for both men and women in a warm, inviting new space (complete with complimentary snacks and drinks!)
The service menu also offers multi-month clinically-vetted programs; their first, the Metabolic Reset Program, was previewed exclusively to St Francis staff at a celebration event earlier this month. You can explore the brochure online, which includes full program contents and pricing.
The team is now planning their '4th Trimester' Program for launch later this spring: so far they’ve included hair restoration treatments for postpartum hairloss alongside a set of no-downtime no-pain urinary incontinence treatments, powered by the only Viora laser in Columbus.
"Where others think about lifespan, we think about health span — as you go through life's ages and stages, how many of your years are you feeling like your best self, mobile and energized?" said Shan George, MSN, FNP-BC, Modern Halo's full time Nurse Practitioner.
She emphasized the free consults offered in-person or over the phone, allowing patients to make informed decisions without sales pressure.
"After 20 years of clinical care, as well as my own journey through motherhood and menopause, I’m overjoyed to be a part of something like this. We’re building solutions that offer genuine symptom management from trustworthy clinicians. Our clients walk in and simply feel taken care of - they've expressed a problem, and now they get to experience relief."
As champions of an outer glow alongside inner wellness, Modern Halo is also a full service aesthetics provider offering facial injectables, body treatments, and a wide variety of laser services. They have appointments in the early morning, late evening, and all day Saturday.
