It is very rare for an employee to dedicate an entire career to one organization, but St. Francis-Emory Healthcare’s Leon McLendon, LPN, has done just that. Starting at St. Francis in 1988 as a tech, Leon furthered his career becoming an LPN in 1996. He is a “go-to” person for all general surgery or orthopedic needs, working seamlessly with his colleagues and going beyond expectations in the delivery of care to his patients. Patients consistently ask for him by name, with compliments on the attentive care he provided.
His 4-South family agrees:
“We are so happy for Leon and his opportunity to retire and start a new chapter in his life,” they say. “We are already missing him and the humor he brought to the unit. Each of us are grateful for the time we worked together and are so proud to have served with Leon these many years.”
